What’s the widest rear tire I can get for a Sabre?

The 170/80 that comes on the bike is about the widest you can go with the stock rim. Metzler has a 200 that they say will fit, but most people think the tire actually looks skinnier than the stocker because the rim squeezes the tire so much.
The 170/80 Avon Venom is the same width as a 200 Metzler, just a bit shorter. Both tires require you to lower the tire pressure when removing/installing the rim and tire from the bike.
With a custom 5.5" RC wheel you can fit a 180/55-18"
You can find information on a 200 or 210 Fat Tire kit here. The kit comes with a new swingarm and rear fender, you will need to purchase a new rear rim to hold all that rubber.
